lisette marguerite kostos did not know what to do with herself. she knew she had things she should be doing, but she couldn't bring herself to do them. no, her brain was far too scattered at the moment to do that. lissy had been caught up the past few days thinking about one situation, and one person, only. she loved her two best friends, savannah and zara, to death and would do anything for them. but when beau wilkerson became involved in the situation... it changed everything. beau was her best friend, and for the longest, she thought of him as her better half... but sadly, he was not that. not lately, at least. she always thought she knew beau like the back of her hand. but things had been happening lately that had proven her wrong. case number one was the fact that beau had hit her. he'd gotten very upset, and just lost his control, and hit her. that had caused a huge rift in their relationship for a while, as lissy was unable to really trust him for a while after that. but she couldn't leave him. no, that wasn't something she would ever be able to bring herself to do. because whether she liked it or not, beau wilkerson was essentially her other half, and she needed him. case number two was his two most current girlfriends, her two best girl friends, whom he had also hit and was currently abusing. she didn't know why he would possibly do such a thing, and she sure as hell hoped he would have stopped with her. but he hadn't, and once again, their friendship was torn wide open. lisette was lost without beau. it may have been dramatic, but it was true. he was her rock, and all of this instability around him was killing her and leaving her floating with no place to land. she'd been in her room, thinking about the entire situation, when she finally just decided she needed to get out. she needed to do something, or else she was going to combust. lissy always went for walks when something was bothering her, and she often times found going someplace where there was a fair amount of people helped clear her head. she was able to think better amidst the cluster of people, voices, and sounds. it was odd, but she never claimed to be normal in any sense of the word. that day, she was just walking down the street, lost in her thoughts, when she saw him. the one person she'd been both dying and dreading to see. lisette kostos stopped dead in her tracks as her chocolate eyes met his hazel ones. she didn't know what to do. why did things have to be so complicated?

His head was spinning out of control. In the past few days, everything had seemed to rush at him and knock the breath right out of his lungs. All of a sudden, a thousand angry voices were at his ear, telling him that he was a monster. As if he already didn't know. His fists clenched and unclenched with the rising feelings in his chest; primarily there was the same anger he was used to, bubbling under his skin, and now there was an overwhelming sense of hatred for himself. He had never felt so disgusting before, and it was something he just couldn't shake. How could he explain this away? Beau was fundamentally flawed, and he knew it. He was temperamental, unpredictable, and too violent to be trusted around those he loved. The alcohol was beginning to tighten its deadly grip on him. He had become lost, unable to say that he even knew himself anymore. Now, one of his best friends Lisette Kostos, was begging him to see him, although he couldn't imagine why. He had lost his temper with her and hit her, as much as he never wanted to, and they had fallen apart after that. But Beau did love her, he loved her with every single inch of his heart. They needed each other in the end, so keeping apart was not doing either of them any good. Feeling suddenly suffocated in his empty home, he grabbed his keys and wallet and stormed out, purposefully leaving his cell phone on the kitchen table. If one more fucking person tried to tell him what was right and what was wrong, he was going to explode. Beau did not avoid slamming the door, feeling like he had to let some of that pent out anger out of his body. As he shoved his hands into his pockets and walked, he focused on taking deep breaths to soothe himself. It was beautiful outside, and the fresh air did seem to do him some good after all. He kept his head down as he walked, as it felt heavy from all of the accusations and burning thoughts running through his mind. Would he always have to feel this way? Beau chanced to glance up and then his eyes fell on one person who was rooted in front of him, who he didn't want to see but needed so badly. Lisette Kostos was staring at him, her eyes wide, her mouth almost open but with no words for her to say. He met her gaze and then looked to the side, and two words fell from his lips faintly. "I'm sorry." It was all he could muster from his broken spirit.

truly, there weren't very many things in her life that caught her off guard. lissy was the expert at acclimating to new environments. she'd done that when she'd been diagnosed with her anemia a couple years ago, having to alter things in her lifestyle so she'd better be able to cope with her long-lasting disease. she'd had to do it when her parents divorced, and her mom just left them, leaving her with a house filled with boys and no feminine influence. lissy was able to take care of herself, and she was proud of it. but there were still people she needed, people that she really couldn't move along without. her twin brother, maddox, was one of these people. he knew her better than anyone, and vice versa. truthfully, their relationship was slightly strange because they didn't argue much, like normal siblings did... well, at least, the didn't use to. because everything had been changing lately, her and maddox had constantly been butting heads. he didn't want her spending time with beau. she refused to stop spending time with beau. she could understand her brother's concern, and could only pray he never found out about beau hitting her, too. that would just set him off, and then people would end up getting hurt and that was the last thing lisette kostos wanted. she wouldn't want to pick sides between her brother and beau, even though in a way, she already was by not listening to her brothers 'reason' and staying the hell away from him. but she couldn't. she just couldn't do that, and no one understood. lissy didn't want to run into her brother that day. ever since he had found out, he was doing his best to get him to reveal her past with beau, whether or not he had hit her as well. lissy would never divulge that information, so he could try as long and as hard as he wanted. however, she did need a break from the constant onslaught. however, it seemed that day, she was going to be entering a totally different type of stressful situation. lissy's eyes assessed the look in beau's, and her heart started to sink. broken. her breath expelled from her as he uttered those two, simple, meaningful words. her brow furrowed slightly, as she tried to think of what to do. however, her action would surprise the both of them. before she could stop to think, she was crossing the distance between them, her arms wrapping around his waist and squeezing tight. if he pushed her away, she felt as though her heart might break. lissy tightened her grip on him a little bit more, hoping that maybe this would help him in some slight way. "i know you are..." she said softly, her lids shutting over sad chocolate eyes. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - STATUS: done TAGGED: beau xavier wilkerson LISTENING TO: playing with fire, emery NOTES: =/ OUTFIT: here [/blockquote]

Beau didn't really have a good grasp on how much his violent ways were affecting those around him, but if he knew the extent he would do his best to remove himself from the situation. Whenever Zara cried, or when Savannah had begged him to stop hitting her, he clearly saw their pain, but he didn't know that it would reach those like Maddox Kostos, who had been dragged into this ordeal. The two had been almost like brothers, what seemed like a whole universe ago. They had been inseparable, even going so far as to play music together and goof off. Beau hadn't wanted to lose his best friend, but time tore them apart, and then Lissy took his place. He could safely say that the Kostos family had been good to him, and what had he done in return? He had lashed out against the girl that had become his other half. Beau could not imagine functioning with Lisette in his life - she became his rock, the person to go to when his house was in turmoil. Even she didn't know the terrible things he suffered, but she was pretty damn informed on the rest of his day-to-day. Every single time he looked at Lisette, he felt an overwhelming guilt of sorrow for what he had done to her; the damage was irreversible, as it seemed to be whenever he came in contact with a girl. If he had known that she was going to be standing right in front of him, and that this heavy silence would have fallen between them, he would have stayed at home. It was better to suffer alone than to look into the face of the girl that he had hurt. He was grateful that Lissy was strong and able to stay rooted to the spot, able to look at him without disgust or fear in her eyes. When she looked at him, she saw the Beau that she knew so well - the charming, energetic young man with a good nature and a heart of gold. He was capable of being so much more than he was, and he wasn't even fully aware of this. Instead. alcoholism and anger ruled his life, so much so that he was losing himself. He would have never foreseen Lissy's boldness to hug him, and his body stiffened at the foreign contact before finally relaxing into the embrace. Beau's arms wrapped around her small frame tightly and he just held her there, missing the feeling of having her in his arms, having her with him. He rested his chin on her forehead and his hazel eyes shut, tears falling down his face; Beau hated crying more than anything, as it was a show of weakness, which he detested, but he just couldn't stop the tears before they came. "I'm so, so sorry," he repeated, his voice cracking over the words. "I didn't mean to hurt you. I can't lose you Lissy, I can't.." Standing there, in her arms, he completely broke down and his body began to shake. Maybe he needed this, but everything he'd been holding inside for weeks just spilled out, laid raw for her to see.

Lisette Kostos had never really been sure of a lot of things. Sure, she was a confident young woman, she knew who she was. But she'd never quite been sure what she wanted. There were so many conflicting ideas around her, she'd never really been able to formulate one of her own. Music, maybe. Writing, possibly. Her father wanted her to do something with those sketches he always found laying around in her room, like going into architecture. Her brother would love it if she tried music with him. Her two older brothers wanted her to write for a living. Her mother had wanted her to be a doctor. Her friends couldn't support her because they didn't know what she wanted, either. But, there was one thing she was sure of lately, it was how much she needed Beau Wilkerson. No matter how many times he might raise a hand against her, or harsh words might be exchanged between them, she would always love him. He was her best friend, her other half. Quite frankly, he was her everything. Living without him in her future was something she couldn't quite fathom or understand, and it wasn't something she wanted to consider, either. But with the way things had been between the two lately, everything had been thrown off balance. She hated what he was doing, he couldn't stop. They'd been drifting apart, and while Beau might have thought this was for her own good, Lissy couldn't help but see it in the exact opposite manner. This wasn't doing her any good, at all. All she wanted was to be able to talk to him, be able to be around him and help him as long as he wanted her to be there. Lisette, truthfully, wasn't afraid of Beau. At least, she wasn't in that moment. She was comfortable with him, she always had been. This new and startling side she had recently discovered, it had thrown some things into question. But, after thinking about it, she knew that she still trusted him. That she still loved him just as much as she had before. Seeing him here now, that as just reaffirmed in her mind. Her boldness may have caught them both off guard, but it had been the right thing to do. Her embrace seemed to be his undoing. His chin rested on her head, and she took in a deep breath. This was how things were supposed to be. The loneliness that had been tearing at her without his presence had seemingly disappeared. Lissy hugged him tighter as he apologized once more. His next words very nearly broke her heart. She shook her head, hugging him as tightly as she could as she responded, "You'll never lose me. Never. As long as you want me, I'm always going to be here. No matter what happens. I promise you that." Her voice rang with sincerity, and she would stand firm to that promise with everything she had. As he began to tremble in her arms, her throat swelled with her own tears. His pain was echoing within her, becoming her own. Her hands began making soothing circles on his back, as she did her best to comfort him. He didn't deserve this, none of it, and it broke her heart and snatched the breath from her chest. "Beau... shhh, it's going to be okay. Everything is going to be okay." The words were customary, ritual. But in that moment, Lissy had never hoped for anything in her life more than she hoped for those words to be true. Everything needed to be okay for Beau. It had to. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - STATUS: done TAGGED: beau xavier wilkerson LISTENING TO: say when, the fray NOTES: sadddddd. and this post is a fail.
