FOR MOST DAYS MERCEDEZ never really found the day to be interesting, for being seventeen close to being an official adult she had been one to be known around the party scene lately. she knew she was falling and yet she still didnt find the motivation to stop the downward spiral. was it her fault that her mother hadnt wanted to stick around? she didnt think so but on her brothers mind it was entirely mercedez nichole preston who had given her mother all ambition to leave the family and move away. to be honest mercedez was beyond happy the woman was no longer around or she'd not be herself, as far as mercedez knew the woman had basically whipped their father around until he agreed to raise the children and just pretend their mother was to sick to care for them all. when mercedez reached age of knowledge she knew her mother wasnt sick just selfish and self centered and thought of nothing but herself and her issues. some people probably seen merc as that same person but she knew who she was, more then her mother could probably say for herself right about this time of life.
INHALING MERCEDEZ MADE IT out of her house without even a glance of glare from her father. mercedez knew the man blamed her for her mother not wanting to stay, and truthfully mercedez didnt blame him at all. maybe it was her fault, she didnt know but her mother had left almost two years ago claiming it was her fathers fault she ever had a child in the first place. surprisingly she had taken fourteen year old now fifteen year old braylen with her. shrugging it off she climbed into her honda cvr vehicle and buckled. turning up the stereo as she turned it on and backed down the driveway turning on to the main road. making her way to the main road from her street she headed for starbucks. her favorite cafe in all of newark, new jersey. that was probably the first place she'd look for whenever she moved around. it was basically her safe haven whenever she needed to think. her room was to silent, the park was to open and starbucks felt just right in her mind. fixing the bottom of her top as she'd arrived and stepped out of her car smiling softly.
GRABBING HER LAPTOP BAG from the back seat she went on walking towards the building she entered her body shivered at the change of air in the place. it seemed a bit cooler on her body then it felt outside. walking up to the counter mercedez ordered up her usual double grand mocha frap and chocolate cookie. giving the proper change she turned and made her way to a two person booth, sliding in on one side she glanced around. putting her laptop back up on the table she slid her drink to the side and pulled her laptop from the bag setting it up and dropping the bag under the table by her feet. making sure the wireless worked she went to her own stuff on the laptop and continued typing from where she had left off the other day. mercedez enjoyed writing stories it was basically her past time from the time she learned to write and onward when her mother up and left late that night. shrugging the thought of her mother off her shoulders merce continued glancing up every so often wondering if anyone she knew would come walking into the place. it was quite popular.
EXCEPT FOR TODAY for some insanely odd reason.
